Setting up qixto mail on your device should be fairly straight forward.
Please ensure that you have an active subscription and then try the instructions below, if you have any problems at all, please let us know – support@qixto.com.
Step 1
We can automatically generate a profile for all Apple devices that contains your mail settings, you can download this from our mail server:
https://mail.qixto.com/mobileconfig.php
On your mac, open the Safari web browser and click on the link above which will take you to the website to download the profile.
Note you don’t have to use Safari, but as Safari is an Apple product it will automatically recognise the mail profile and ask you to install it. If you use a different browser, you may need to click on the profile after it has downloaded.
Once you have clicked on the link, you will be prompted to login in order to verify your account.
Enter your full qixto email address and password and then click on Login.
You may then see another alert asking if you wish to allow downloads from mail.qixto.com.
Click on Allow.
The Apple profile will then be downloaded to your computer.
Step 2 – Install the profile
Once the profile has downloaded, you will automatically be prompted to install it.
If you wish to examine the profile, you can click on the Show Profile button.
Click on Continue to install the profile.
You will now need to enter your qixto email password three times. It’s a pain, but Apple stores the accounts for your email, contacts and calendar separately, so there is no way around it!
Enter the password three times, clicking Next to proceed.
Once you have entered the password for the third time, click on the Install button to install and save the profile.
You will see the Installing…. progress indicator work away for a few seconds.
and then you will be returned to the Profile section of System Preferences, where you can see the profile that you have installed.
That’s it, you’re are all done. You mac will now synchronise your mail, calendar and contacts with the qixto servers.
